|| Mohammad Yousuf, Barshial: The Barishal district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organised a daylong training camp for its municipal and union-level officials on Wednesday, focusing on personal development, organisational expansion and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.The programme was held at a city auditorium and was chaired by Maulana Mohammad Abdul Jabbar, a member of the party’s Central Majlish-e-Shura and Amir of the Barishal district unit.Maulana Mahmudunnabi Talukdar, secretary of the district Jamaat, delivered the Darsul Quran session at the event.Maulana Zahir Uddin Mohammad Babar, a member of Jamaat’s Central Executive Council and Amir of the Barishal metropolitan unit, conducted a thematic discussion.Ataur Rahman Bachchu, a member of the party’s Central Majlish-e-Shura and a member of parliament from the Narail-2 constituency, addressed the gathering on important organisational issues.Other speakers included AKM Fakhruddin Khan Razi, a member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura and a member of Jamaat’s Barishal regional team, and Dr SM Mahfuzur Rahman, also a member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura and Naib-e-Amir of the Barishal district unit.Among others present at the training camp were district Naib-e-Amir Master Abdul Mannan; district assistant secretary and former Babuganj upazila vice-chairman Azizur Rahman Alid; district assistant secretary Saiyed Ahmed Khan Bachchu; district working council members Md Abu Munim, Principal Mosharraf Hossain, Advocate Zahir Uddin Yamin, Hafiz Maulana Saiful Islam, Md Masudur Rahman, Hafiz Maulana Kawsar Hossain and Nurul Haque Sohorab.The organisers said the training camp addressed a range of issues aimed at improving the capabilities of party officials. Discussions focused on personal and organisational development, expanding the party’s activities at the grassroots level and enhancing organisational discipline and effectiveness.The participants were also given guidance on strengthening the organisation and making its activities more effective at the municipal and union levels.
