Zakir Hossin, Pirojpur: The Pirojpur District Police on Monday held its monthly welfare meeting, where outstanding police personnel were honoured for their exemplary performance and contributions to law enforcement.The meeting was held at the Police Lines Drill Shed and was presided over by Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Monjur Ahmed Siddiqui. Assistant Superintendent of Police (Nesarabad Circle) Pronoy Roy moderated the programme.Police officers and personnel from various units across the district participated in the meeting, discussing professional challenges and welfare-related issues affecting their duties. Addressing the concerns raised by participants, the SP instructed the relevant officials to take immediate and effective measures to resolve them.In his speech, SP Siddiqui underscored the importance of ensuring the welfare of police personnel, highlighting the need for regular leave, improved accommodation, better sanitation facilities, access to healthcare services and the provision of quality meals.He also called on officers to maintain discipline, professionalism, integrity and ethical standards while strengthening community-based policing initiatives. Stressing that public trust remains the cornerstone of effective law enforcement, the SP urged police members to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, honesty and patriotism.At the conclusion of the meeting, several police personnel received awards in recognition of their outstanding achievements and commitment to duty.Among those present were Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations) Md Ziaur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Mathbaria Circle) Partha Chakraborty, PPM, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Md Mokhchedul Momin, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Walid Hasan Mithu, officers-in-charge of various police stations, the Traffic Inspector, Court Inspector, Reserve Inspector of Police Lines, officials of the Reserve Office, civil staff and members of the district police force.
