Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh organizes Saudi Ramadan Imam Program

Distribution of Ifter, Dates and the Holy Quran

Diplomatic Correspondent: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through its Religious Attaché in Bangladesh, officially inaugurated the Ramadan Imam Program on Wednesday, the 1st of Ramadan, at the Saudi Embassy in Dhaka. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Abdullah bin Dhafer bin Abiah, representing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Acting Religious Attaché Mr. Mubarak bin Aamq Al‑Anzi.

Six Saudi imams have been assigned to lead Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers across several Bangladeshi cities throughout the holy month, underscoring the Ministry’s commitment to fostering Islamic brotherhood and strengthening cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh in serving Islam and Muslims.

40 tons of dates and 14,500 copies of the Quran were distributed at the event. Senior officials of the Saudi Embassy along with ​​Deputy Ambassador Abdul Aziz Fahad, Embassy`s Political and Media Director and Embassy Spokesperson Yasir Sheshah, Dr. Emdadullah, Muhammad Masudur Rahman were present at the distribution of dates and Quran.
