New York: The 25th session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) commenced today at the United Nations Headquarters, bringing together global governance experts, policymakers, and civil society representatives to deliberate on reforms aimed at strengthening public institutions and rebuilding public trust.Raju Lama, International President of the SAARC Journalist Forum, participated in the high-level session, actively engaging in discussions on governance, transparency, and institutional development.The session placed strong emphasis on enhancing public administration systems, improving accountability, and accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through strengthened multilateral cooperation and innovative governance strategies.Experts highlighted the importance of inclusive policymaking, digital transformation, and rebuilding trust between governments and citizens as critical priorities in the current global landscape.The session will continue throughout the week, featuring thematic panels and policy discussions designed to support UN member states in advancing governance frameworks and institutional resilience.
