Md. Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: A tragic incident occurred in Phulpur, Mymensingh, where a five-year-old girl named Mariam died after falling into a river while playing. Mariam was the daughter of Harez Ali of Dhanarbhita village in Singheshwar Union of the upazila.According to local sources, on Wednesday afternoon, Mariam was playing near the Maljhi River beside her home, as she usually did. During play, she accidentally fell into the river. When family members could not find her, they began searching extensively. After a prolonged search, Mariam's body was recovered from the river on Thursday morning.
