Md. Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: Journalists of the Bangladesh Mofassal Journalists Forum (BMJF), Phulpur Upazila Branch, accorded a warm reception to newly appointed Chairman of the Mymensingh Development Authority (MUK), Motahar Hossain Talukdar, at a ceremony held on Friday night at the organization’s office in Amuyakanda Bazar of Phulpur Upazila.The reception programme was attended by prominent political leaders, journalists, and social figures of the area. Among those present were Convener of Phulpur Upazila BNP Alhaj Siddiqur Rahman, Member Secretary Helal Uddin, senior journalist Khalilur Rahman, President of BMJF Phulpur Upazila Branch Mizanur Rahman Akand, General Secretary Abdur Rahman Rony, Senior Vice-President Mahmudul Hasan Reza, Vice-President Selim Rana, Joint General Secretary Zahidul Haque Imon, Organizing Secretary Nazmul Hasan Rajon, Treasurer Billal Hossain, and members Monjure Maola Mehedi, Hadiyatul Islam Amrit, and Mushfiqur Rahman, among others.The event was also attended by BNP Joint Convener Kudrat Ali, BNP member Mazharul Islam Nipu, Member Secretary of the Upazila Sports Association Jewel Hasan, Acting Convener of Upazila Chhatra Dal Ibnul Hasan Rubel, and Member Secretary Shah Imrul Kayes.Speaking on the occasion, the guests congratulated Motahar Hossain Talukdar on his new responsibility and expressed hope that his leadership would contribute significantly to the planned development and modernization of Mymensingh.Earlier on the same day, Motahar Hossain Talukdar was also felicitated by the Phulpur Upazila Administration, BNP leaders, and activists of its associate bodies in recognition of his appointment as Chairman of the Mymensingh Development Authority.The reception concluded in a cordial atmosphere with participants extending their best wishes for his success in the new role.
