Md Tanju, Raipur: In a unique and heart-touching ceremony in Raipur, Lakshmipur, the long-serving caretaker of the Sub-Registry Office Jame Mosque was given a royal farewell. As part of the event, he was sent off on a flower-decorated horse carriage, which drew widespread appreciation locally.
It was learned that the
caretaker had served the mosque with dedication, honesty, and sincerity for
nearly 20 years. To recognize his long service, local worshippers and residents
organized this exceptional event. At the farewell, he was presented with Tk
200,000 in cash as a token of honor.
Organized on the
initiative of mosque secretary Enamul Haque, the event was attended by the
mosque’s khatib, distinguished Islamic scholar Hafez Maulana Arif Hossain
Miaji, along with prominent local figures and numerous worshippers.
Speakers at the event
said that showing such respect to a caretaker sets a positive example in
society. The contribution of this person, who served the mosque for so long,
will remain an inspiration for future generations.
According to locals,
such recognition honors not just an individual but also highlights the value of
service in society.
