The award was presented at a discussion, honouring ceremony and cultural programme held on Saturday (August 29) at Jalpai Restaurant and Party Centre in New Eskaton, Dhaka.

The event was organised by the Dhaka Cultural Organisation to mark its 11th founding anniversary and commemorate the life and ideals of veteran mass leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani.

On behalf of the organisation, Sardar Md. Abdus Sattar was handed a certificate of honour recognising his “special contribution to politics and social service.” The certificate was signed by the organisation’s General Secretary Md. Moktar Hossain.
