British Council, DU Discuss Strengthening Academic Collaboration

Dhaka University Correspondent: The Country Director of the British Council, Stephen Forbes, paid a courtesy call on the Treasurer of University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, at his office on Wednesday.


Forbes was accompanied by senior British Council officials, including Head of Education Toufiq Hasan, Head of Operation & Security Noor Rasel, and Facilities Operation Manager Farhadul Azim.


During the meeting, both sides held discussions on enhancing academic cooperation between the University of Dhaka and the British Council. They explored opportunities for expanding joint initiatives aimed at improving educational standards and fostering international collaboration.


A key focus of the discussion was the potential arrangement of training programs for teachers and students of Dhaka University under joint initiatives. The proposed programs are expected to contribute to capacity building and professional development within the university.


The meeting concluded with optimism from both parties about strengthening ties and advancing collaborative efforts in the field of education.
