Magura Correspondent: Belait Molla (55), a businessman from Barashia village in Magura Sadar Upazila, was caught by locals while allegedly engaging in illicit activities with another man’s wife at Sirijdia Baor.The woman has been identified as Tista (28), daughter of Farid Fakir of Alokdia village, Magura Sadar, Magura.According to reports, Belait Molla leases the traditional Sirijdia Baor in Magura for fish farming. To guard the fish, he built a brick house beside the baor and would occasionally stay there.Locals alleged that under the pretext of guarding fish, he frequently brought women to the house at night for entertainment, and arranged dance, music, and drinking sessions.Last night, while he was allegedly with Tista from Alokdia village, locals caught them and handed them over to the police after a public beating.Later at the police station, in the presence of prominent individuals, Belait Molla reportedly confessed to the offense and pledged to marry the woman. He was released from the police station after signing a written undertaking.The incident has created a stir in the area.
