Open and Junior Tennis Tournament-2026 to be held under the sponsorship of Shahjalal Islami Bank

Press Release: "Shahjalal Islami Bank Open and Junior Tennis Tournament-2026" is going to be held at the National Tennis Complex, Ramna, Dhaka from 14thMay to 20thMay 2026 under the initiative of Bangladesh Tennis Federation.The press conference of the tournament was held at the National Tennis Complex, Ramna, Dhaka on 13thMay 2026. In the press conference Ishtiaq Ahmed (Curren) General Secretary of Bangladesh Tennis Federation, Shafiqul Islam SohelTournament Director, Zain Omar Tournament Referee, K. M. Harunur Rashid, Head of Public Relations and Bank Foundation of the Corporate Head Office of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC and Nazrul Islam, Executive Officer of the Public Relations Department were present in the press conference.

A total of more than two hundred tennis players from all over the country are participating in this tournament.The clubs participating in the competition are: National Tennis Complex, BKSP, Jhalokati Tennis Club, Rajshahi Tennis Club, Sylhet Tennis Club, Madaripur Tennis Club, Jamalpur Tennis Club, Magura Tennis Club, Shariatpur Tennis Club, Gulshan Youth Club, Gulshan Club, Uttara Club, Officers Club, Engineers Club and others.

The competition is being held in a total of 8 categories.The events are Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Under-12 Boys' Singles, Under-12 Girls' Singles and Under-16 Boys' Singles and Under-16 Girls' Singles.The competition is being held in a knock-out format.

The closing and award ceremony of the tournament will be held on May 20, 2026 (Wednesday) at the National Tennis Complex, Ramna, Dhaka. The Honorable State Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr. AminulHaque, will be present as the Chief Guest and will distribute awards among the winners.
