Shibir leaders return home after attending global Muslim Youth Forum in Jakarta

Special Correspondent: Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir President Nurul Islam and Central Media Secretary Mu'tasim Billah Shahedi returned to the country on Thursday morning after participating in the International Muslim Youth Forum (IMYF) 2026 held in Jakarta, Indonesia, and concluding an official visit to Pakistan.


Upon their arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, the two leaders were warmly received and felicitated with flowers by senior leaders of the organization. Among those present were Central Office Secretary Azizur Rahman Azad, Literature Secretary Saidul Islam, Foundation Secretary Abdul Mohaimen, and Dhaka Metropolitan North President Saiful Islam Sayem, along with other leaders and activists.


The International Muslim Youth Forum brought together youth representatives, intellectuals, and diplomats from various countries to discuss the contemporary challenges facing the Muslim Ummah. Deliberations at the forum focused on the role of young people in addressing political, economic, and intellectual crises confronting Muslim societies across the globe.


According to participants, the event served as an important platform for strengthening international cooperation, exchanging ideas, and exploring strategies to enhance youth engagement in global development and leadership initiatives.


The return of the Shibir leaders was marked by enthusiasm among organization members, who expressed optimism that the experience and insights gained from the international forum would contribute to future youth-oriented initiatives and organizational development.
