The inaugural shipment was formally launched on Thursday at Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC’s headquarters in Chandra, Gazipur.

The export inauguration was jointly conducted by Posts, Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Science & Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam and Prime Minister's ICT Adviser Rehan Asif Asad, who officially flagged off the shipment during a ceremony attended by government officials and Walton executives.

The exported Walton PCBAs will be integrated into advanced security devices used in gunshot detection and emergency response systems in the United States. The motherboards are being imported by SafePro Technologies Inc., a Wisconsin-based technology company recognized for developing security solutions that help protect students and communities across America.

During their visit, the minister and the ICT adviser toured Walton's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and observed the production processes of a wide range of cutting-edge technology products. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam described Walton as 'a true wonder' and a source of national pride. He said Walton has demonstrated Bangladesh's capability to manufacture world-class, technologically advanced products and successfully export them to global markets, including the United States.

'Walton has built a remarkable industrial ecosystem. The company is producing a diverse range of electronics and technology products that meet international standards. Its success in exporting to developed markets proves that Bangladesh can compete globally in high-tech manufacturing, the minister said.

He further noted that the government, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, is committed to supporting domestic industries. Referring to the proposed fiscal measures for the 2026-27 budget, he said efforts are being made to provide greater incentives and tax benefits for locally manufactured products to encourage industrial growth and competitiveness.

Earlier, the distinguished guests were welcomed at Walton headquarters and viewed a documentary highlighting the company's journey and achievements. They also toured Walton's product display center before visiting key production units, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) motherboard manufacturing, television panel clean rooms, PCB manufacturing facilities, and mold and die units.
